Albanians are the nationality most frequently removed from the UK. In 2023, more than a third of all the enforced returns were of Albanian nationals.

The UK is removing an increasing number of Albanians each year. In 2020, 564 were removed, rising to 2501 in 2023. Already, 738 Albanians have been removed in the first three months of 2024.

The majority of Albanians are removed from the UK by charter flight. In 2023, there were 50 charter flights to Albania out of 60 charter flights in total - almost one per week. Of the 2501 Albanians removed or deported from the UK in 2023, 2251 or 90% were removed by charter flight.
